Intel accelerates edge AI innovation with open ecosystem

Intel launches new AI edge systems, edge AI suites, and open edge platform software, empowering partners to seamlessly integrate AI into existing infrastructure

Intel releases new Intel ® AI edge system, edge AI suite, and open edge platform plan. By simplifying integration with existing infrastructure, these solutions streamline and accelerate the application of AI at the edge, including deployment in industries such as retail, manufacturing, smart cities, media, and entertainment. Dan Rodriguez, vice president and general manager of edge computing Business Unit of Intel Corporation, said, "Our customers want to expand AI applications in the existing edge infrastructure and workflow, so as to meet their needs for optimizing TCO, power consumption and performance. With years of experience in the edge field, Intel has launched Intel AI Edge System, Edge AI Suite and Open Edge Software, which further enhance the product support for edge AI and accelerate the delivery of AI solutions to the ecosystem."
Edge AI is becoming an indispensable key component in enterprise innovation. Gartner predicts that by the end of 2025, 50% of enterprise managed data will not be stored or processed in traditional data centers or clouds, but rather on edge devices such as retail stores, manufacturing plants, and healthcare institutions. By 2026, at least half of edge computing deployments will involve machine learning ¹.
Intel and its partners have jointly launched over 100000 actual edge deployment cases (many of which have already adopted AI), fully aware of the unique challenges involved. The solution suitable for cloud service providers is not suitable for edge enterprises, as the latter need to integrate AI while maintaining existing platforms and software to achieve excellent TCO and energy efficiency.

Intel AI Edge Systems: Intel Edge Systems solutions accelerate the deployment of AI at the edge. These resources enable customers and solution providers to easily configure systems to meet the performance requirements of use cases such as visual AI or generative AI (GenAI).
